At Metal Components I run the BLM Group LT8.10. This is a very large fiber laser cutting machine. Though it is bigger than the BLM LT7's that I used to run, I quickly got back into my rhythm with these machines thanks to a great team willing to teach me where my knowledge falls short.

On top of tube lasers, I have expanded to running the overhead crane, presses, and the chamfering machines.

I loved my time at MS running tube lasers. They are Fascinating machines you can never stop learning more about. I worked my way into being a trainer in my department, fixing small problems on the machines as they arise, as well as getting a certificate of completion for both operator training and maintenance training on the LT7 Tube Lasers at BLM Group USA's facility in Novi, MI.
I loved my time at MS running tube lasers. They are Fascinating machines you can never stop learning more about. I made the difficult decision in September of 2025 to move on from MS after 4 years of employment there, and have since been working at Metal Components LLC.

I started as a custodian but quickly worked towards doing simple maintenance tasks with my official job title being Facility Maintenance Assistant in a part time position. The main reason I stayed at MS is because they were flexible to the limited hours I worked while being in school. Since finishing high school, I decided to stay at MS as a Tube Laser Operator.

Much of my time in maintenance was spent hanging air line, cutting and threading black-pipe, running conduit, and doing basic machine repairs where needed.
